Nivana (“we”, “us”, “our”) is designed to be a simple meditation app. We aim to collect as little data as reasonably necessary.
1) Your Meditation Data
Your meditation history, preferences, reminders, and settings are stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated.
Nivana does not require you to create an account or sign in to meditate.
2) Analytics
We collect limited usage analytics to understand whether Nivana is helping people build a meditation practice and to improve the app.
This may include information such as:
- whether a meditation session was started, completed, or ended early
- selected meditation duration
- actual session duration
- whether interval bells are enabled
- whether meditation reminders are enabled
- app version and basic technical information needed for analytics and reliability
We do not use this information for advertising or to build advertising profiles.
We do not track your activity across other companies' apps or websites.
Depending on the analytics service used by the app, limited technical identifiers or device information may be processed to provide analytics and prevent duplicate or invalid events.
3) No Advertising
Nivana does not sell your personal data.
We do not use your meditation activity for targeted advertising and do not share it with advertising networks for cross-app or cross-website tracking.
4) Notifications
If you enable meditation reminders, Nivana may request permission to send notifications.
You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
5) Local Data
Meditation history and app settings stored locally remain on your device.
You can remove local data through the app where supported or by deleting the app from your device.
6) Service Providers
We may use service providers for limited purposes such as analytics, crash reporting, or operating the app.
These providers may process only the information necessary to provide their services on our behalf. We require service providers handling user data to provide appropriate protection for that data.
We do not permit service providers to use Nivana data for targeted advertising on our behalf.
7) Data Retention
Local meditation data remains on your device until you remove it or delete the app.
Analytics and technical data may be retained for the period necessary to understand app usage, maintain reliability, and improve Nivana, subject to the retention settings of the services we use.
8) Your Choices
You may:
- disable notifications through your device settings
- stop using Nivana at any time
- delete locally stored app data by deleting the app or using any available in-app reset option
- contact us with privacy questions or requests

9) Security
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we process.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to minimize the amount of information collected and limit its use to operating and improving Nivana.
10) Children
Nivana is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by applicable law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us.
11) International Processing
Service providers used by Nivana may operate in different countries. Where applicable, information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence subject to appropriate data protection safeguards.
